Susan Maurer Gives an Impromptu Reading at Teardrop Park, NYC

Poets Wear Prada poet Susan Maurer took a copy of Bob Heman's CLWN WR (issue 48 which contains her poem "Night Walking" about Teardrop Park ) to a park tour Dorothea Basile recently lead at that park, one of a series of her tours of Battery Park's Conservancy's public art collections. Ms. Basile asked Ms. Maurer to do a reading of her poem on the spot which she very happily did.  Susan Maurer says "It was a beautiful day and it was really fun."

There must be a reason
for the sudden
sound of birdsong in the dark
in Teardrop Park
